Requirements: To be submitted when travelling for the purpose of Tourism.

Personal Documents:

  • Current passport (minimum validity for 06 months until the planned date of return and minimum two blank pages and unmarked visa pages) with all old passports. If the immediate previous passport is lost, then a G.D (English) copy for that passport is required.
  • One recent biometric passport sized photograph (35x45mm, white background, 70%- 80% face coverage); Head coverings are only accepted for religious reasons.
  • Birth certificate / National ID card copy of applicants.
  • Documents related to civil status:
    • Copy of Marriage Certificate – if married (also “Nikah Nama” both in Bangla and English, for Muslim marriage)
    • Copy of Divorce Certificate (“Talak Nama”) – if divorced.
    • Copy of Death Certificate – in case you are a widow or widower.
    • Copy of Birth Certificate of your children – if you have children.
  • For non-Bangladeshi applicants:
  • Bangladeshi Residence Permit valid for at least three months beyond the intended date of departure from the Schengen territory of the member states.
  • Documentation about activity upon return in Bangladesh e.g. work contract or proof of enrollment in a university or school.
  • Additional documents for applications of minor applicants (age of under 18):
  • Application form and both declarations have to be signed by father and mother or legal guardian.
  • Passport copy (biometric and address page) of the applicant’s father and mother/legal guardian.
  • If anyone other than father/legal guardian submits the application:
  • Proof of custody/legal guardianship either by submitting custody order from family court or
  • Power of Attorney from father and mother/legal guardian (if father and mother/legal guardian is abroad then it must be authenticated by competent authority in abroad)

Professional Documents:

  • If employed by a company in Bangladesh: Letter from local employer including name, address and telephone number of sponsor/company, with details regarding applicant’s working position, starting date of employment, salary and timeframe of work leave (expected date to resume duties), purpose of travel.
  • If self-employed:
  • Copy of the valid trade license of your own company/employer’s company in Bangladesh.
  • Copy of Certificate of Incorporation with Memorandum of article (only the pages with the name of the shareholders of the company), if applicable.
  • Original Company’s bank statements for the past 6 months, mentioning overdraft limit (if any overdraft limit); if travel cost will be borne by your company.
  • If student: No Objection Certificate from school/college/university.

Financial Documents:

  • Original personal bank statements of at least the last 6 months before application and proof of other financial means and assets (e.g. DPS, FDR, holding tax payment receipt etc.).
  • Copy of your last personal tax return certificate with annual tax payment confirmation with paid amount.

Travel Documents:

  • Proof of accommodation: Valid hotel/guesthouse reservation for the entire travel with full address, contact information, booking reference (if the applicant intends to stay with a family member or a friend: proof of sponsorship and/or private accommodation from the host). Your accommodation has to be identical with your flight reservation.
  • Flight Booking.
  • Travel Insurance: Insurance must be valid for the whole Schengen area. The insurance must cover medical fees, hospitalization and repatriation costs up to 30,000 Euros. The insurance must fully cover the whole period of stay within the Schengen area.

Visa Fee & Service Charge:

  • Visa fee – 80 Euro / 9,500 BDT.
  • Visa fee applicable for children between 6 to 12 years – 40 Euro / 4,800 BDT.
  • Bangladesh Tours and Travels service charge 3,000 BDT.

Note: Notary and translation charges are additional – if needed.

Processing Time:

  • Bangladesh Tours and Travels file processing time 1/2 working days.
  • Embassy processing time: Processing normally takes 15 Calendar days but may in some cases take up to 45 calendar days.

  • Bangladesh Tours and Travels exclusively offer consultancy services and do not furnish any assurances or guarantees regarding visa outcomes.
  • The initiation of visa-related file processing will commence once we have received all required documents.
  • The Embassy reserves the right to alter processing time, requirements, and fees without advance notice.
  • The embassy may require additional documents not included in the checklist mentioned above at its discretion.
  • All documents in Bengali must undergo translation into English and subsequent notarization.
  • At the time of the interview, applicants should have all original documents with them when visiting the embassy or application center.
